Please note that prices are subject to change and will increase from the current price as the events draw closer. Prices go up closer to the event so register quick and save $$$$!
I’VE PRE-PAID FOR A TEAM REGISTRATION – HOW DO I INVITE TEAM MEMBERS?
To invite your crew to join your team visit https://myevents.active.com/ and select ‘invite general team members’. If you have already purchased pre-paid places for your team members, please select ‘invite pre-paid team members’ and follow the steps to send your invitations out. Team members must accept each pre-paid invitation to join your team without being charged.
WHAT DO I GET WITH MY REGISTRATION FEE?
Each event features a one-of-a-kind light and sound show designed by our talented team of lighting designers and artists. In addition to the light show, participants will receive an Event Pack containing an exclusive Electric Run t-shirt, a bib number and some glow goodies.
HOW MUCH IS THE REGISTRATION?
For the latest prices head to our ‘Register‘ page. Please note that you will be charged in dollars and a processing fee of 6% is applied for credit or debit card payments. If there have been any additional charges to this amount, please contact your bank as it may be that foreign currency transactions are subject to further charges. These charges are applied by your bank and unfortunately out of our control here at ActiveLife Electric Run. We can guarantee that there are no hidden additional charges from our side.
If you would like to pay by cash then please visit one of the Fitness First Clubs or GO Sport stores in the UAE, where you can pick up individual registrations. There you will purchase a coupon that you can then redeem online to avoid these charges.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY EVENT PACK?
This can be done pre-event at the off-site pack pick up that you will choose when registering in the days leading up to the event. To pick up your event pack you will need photo ID and signed waivers from those for whom you are collecting. Waiver forms can be downloaded here.
If you can’t make it to pack collection a friend can collect it for you. They need to bring the waiver form and have a copy of your confirmation email (printed or electronic) with your unique barcode to collect your goods! Waiver forms can be downloaded here.
HOW DO I TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION TO ANOTHER PERSON?
Go to myevents.active.com and login to your account.
Choose the option “Transfer registration to another athlete” and then enter the email address of the person you are transferring it to. OR click on the link in your registration confirmation email that says “transfer to someone else” and it will prompt you to put the email address in for the person you are transferring it to. Once they claim their registration, it will refund your payment (minus the active.com processing fee) and ask the person receiving the transfer to pay the CURRENT price of the registration. Transferring will be available up until a week before the race.
HOW MUCH OF THE COURSE HAS LIGHTS AND MUSIC?
There will be 7 lands each with a different mood. Some will be very upbeat others will be more ethereal. In between these worlds will be areas of relative silence and no lighting elements. These “dark” areas will give the senses a chance to reset before entering the next courseland. There will be enough light in these “dark” areas to make it safe to run.
IS ELECTRIC RUN A RAVE?
The ActiveLife Electric Run will feature many of the same light elements that could be found at a rave but the focus of an Electric Run is on health and celebration. We believe everyone, no matter their age, should be able to experience lights and music in an environment that is healthy and happy.
IS THIS A TIMED EVENT?
Nope. This is not a “race”, this is an experience. Enjoy yourself and take in the sights and sounds of the course. If you like one lighting zone or a song that is playing feel free to hang out and dance for a bit.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WALKERS?
Walkers are very welcome! We can’t blame you for wanting to take in the scenery of the various worlds, we just ask that if you choose to walk, stay to the right so runners can pass safely to your left!
SHOULD I BRING MY OWN LED AND GLOW STUFF OR DO YOU PROVIDE IT?
Come let your light shine and your creative juices flow. Add your own creative spark by dressing up in other-worldly costumes that glow, shine, blink, and dazzle. Show us all what you’ve got!
ARE THERE REFUNDS?
Have a read of our refund policy found here. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible.
Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, at least come to the check in, you can still come to the check in to pick up your Electric Run gear, or see below on how to transfer your registration!
CAN I TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION FROM ONE CITY TO ANOTHER CITY?
Unfortunately we don’t have a way of transferring your registration from one city to another. But what you can do is transfer your registration to another runner (see instructions above). Then you can register for the city you WANT to run in!
DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS?
There aren’t any lockers at the event and if you want to get your boogie on around the course and the party we recommend you leave your bags at home or in the car.
CAN KIDS PARTICIPATE?
Yes! This is an all age’s event. In fact, kids 3 and under run for free and don’t need to register! You’re welcome to bring your child’s stroller if needed. Actually… you know what you should do? Put some rad lights on the wheels and handle bars and make that thing look amazing!! Your kids will love the show! Please remember that this is also a sound and light party – It will be noisy, loud and very crowded so bear this in mind when deciding whether to bring young children with you. Children over the age of 3 need to register to join in the fun and all children must be with their parent or guardian at all times.
CAN DOGS PARTICIPATE?
Sorry no dogs allowed.
CAN I SKATE/ROLLERBLADE?
Sorry, this is not allowed as we have to consider the safety of all our runners and walkers on the course.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON THE DAY?
Before you leave home, make sure you have:
- Your Electric Run t-shirt, running number and Event Pack.
- Your camera/phone – don’t forget to take some awesome pictures along the way. Make sure your phone is charged up, get your selfie on and don’t forget to share with the world! #ElectricDxb
- Running shoes to get you round the course to the epic finish party, where they turn into your dancing shoes!
- Clothing to get glowing in.
- Cash – There will be exclusive Electric Run merchandise and a selection of glow items available to purchase, as well as a number of food and drink vendors.
Please arrive at 5pm and take in the atmosphere and join the fun
